Fit for the Energy Future: The EVU-Manager CAS-HSG at the University of St.Gallen

The energy system is undergoing a profound transformation. Triggered by Energy Strategy 2050 and the goal of climate neutrality by 2050, energy supply companies (EVUs) are facing complex entrepreneurial challenges. The Competence Center for Energy Management at the University of St.Gallen offers the EVU-Manager CAS-HSG, a practice-oriented continuing education program specifically tailored to these needs. 

Targeted Competence Development for the Energy Industry

The program enables participants to actively shape the change. Various modules cover the central topics of the modern energy economy:

• General Management and Strategy: Fundamentals and application of the St. Gallen Management Model in the energy world.
• Energy Law and Regulation: Understanding the legal framework at federal and cantonal levels.
• Transformation of the Energy System: Insights into the future role of electricity, gas, and renewable energies.
• Financial Leadership: Economic management of EVUs and grid operators.
• Innovation and Business Models: Development of new approaches for the digital energy future.
• Digital Transformation and Customer Orientation: Marketing and sales in a liberalized environment.

  Practical Relevance and High-Caliber Lecturers

  A special feature of the course is the close link between science and practice. Experienced lecturers from the University of St.Gallen as well as experts directly from the energy industry (e.g., from Axpo, Swisspower, or IWB) provide valuable insider knowledge. An accompanying practical project allows participants to apply what they have learned directly to problems within their own company.
